George Washington
George Washington was the first President of the United States. Before he became president he was the Commander and Chief of the Continental Army in the American revolution. George Washington is important because he is one of the founding fathers. Washington appeared at the Second Continental Congress. He was wearing his Military uniform to symbolize that he was ready for war.
