Patriots
Patriots were colonists of the Thirteen Colonies who fought back against the British during the American Revolution. Their rebellion was based on the belief of republicanism, which means liberty. Patriots were formed from many types of people such as, lawyers, merchants, and farmers. Patriots were active rebels before 1775 in small groups like the Sons of Liberty. About forty-four percent of America was made of Rebels.
